Memramcook Village Councillor resigns

A longtime Memramcook Village Councillor has stepped down.

Brian Cormier’s resignation was accepted at a special meeting held on September 29.

The council says he played a key role in developing many important initiatives that contributed to the community.

Councillor Cormier provided strong support during council deliberations, often recalling matters and discussions from many years past. His exceptional memory was often a valuable asset throughout the decision-making process. His sincere and consistent approach leaves a lasting mark that will continue to benefit the entire community,” Mayor Maxime Bourgeois says.

Cormier had served on the village council since 2012.
