Mounties seek 2 people in Shediac-area incidents

Mounties are looking for two people after a series of incidents in the Shediac area.

Police said a Jeep was stolen from a home on Route 133 in Grand Barachois between 1:15 and 3:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Around the same time, a business on Main Street in Shediac was broken into and tobacco products were taken.

Investigators believe the same two people also tried to break into a business on Route 134 in Lakeville around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The first person is described as a man with a large build. The second is described as a man with a small build and a limp.

Both were dressed in dark clothing at the time of the incidents, according to Mounties.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in the surveillance footage photos or who has information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact the Shediac RCMP at 506-533-5151 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
