De-escalation training for Moncton businesses

Local businesses are being offered training by the RCMP Community Policing Unit.

The one-hour de-escalation training will offer tips on how to assess a situation and find a safe solution when encountering someone with a mental health crisis, or if an individual is causing a disruption, is under the influence, or refuses to leave.

The de-escalation training focuses on how to verbally diffuse a challenging situation by avoiding power struggles and communicating clearly.

Training will be offered on the following dates:

  • March 13
  • March 20
  • April 10
  • April 17
  • May 15
