A Saint John police officer who was stabbed during a call this week has been released from the hospital.
Const. Jonathan Grenier remains off-duty recovering from non-life-threatening injuries, police said in an update Friday.
He was one of several officers who responded to a disturbance call at a west side business on Wednesday evening.

It was reported to police that a man armed with a knife was threatening staff and causing damage inside the store.
Police said as Grenier entered the business, the suspect allegedly stabbed him with a knife.
“Other officers did intervene at the time of the assault and took the suspect into custody,” Staff Sgt. Sean Rocca, a police spokesperson, told reporters on Thursday.
Two officers were already in the store when Grenier arrived at the scene, according to the spokesperson.
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault on Grenier, who joined the force in 2016.
He is also charged with assault with a weapon on another person, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief under $5,000, and resisting arrest.
