It is going to be a rough week at the New Brunswick fuel pumps, according to one industry source.
Gasoline and diesel prices are both expected to jump considerably on Thursday night.
The price for regular self-serve will increase around 6.5 cents per litre, according to the source.
Diesel users will see the maximum price jump by close to seven cents per litre.
Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.58 per litre for regular self-serve, $2.03 per litre for diesel, and $1.75 per litre for home heating oil.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.58 to $1.62 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.92 and $1.96 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.60 per litre, diesel costs around $2.02 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.43 per litre.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
