NB Liquor, Cannabis N.B. see increased sales

NB Liquor has released its product sales results for the third quarter ending December 31, 2023.

Total product sales for the quarter were $141.5 million, up 2.8 per cent compared to the same period in 2022.

Net income for the quarter was $55.3 million, 2.4 per cent higher than the prior year’s third-quarter net income of $54 million.

Wine sales increased 1.4 per cent or $500,000, while sales of spirits rose 1.9 per cent or $700,000.

Beer sales increased 1.8 per cent or $1 million, while sales of coolers and cider increased 12.5 per cent or $1.7 million.

There were 1.9 million transactions with an average ticket price of $45, according to the agency.

Meanwhile, Cannabis NB also saw increases for the same quarter. Total product sales were $23.9 million, an increase of 10.5 per cent.

Net income for the quarter was $6 million, 26.5 per cent above the prior year’s third-quarter net income of $4.8 million.

Dried flower sales increased 8.2 per cent or $900,000, while sales of edibles increased 11.8 per cent or $200,000.

Sales of infused beverages increased 38.3 per cent or $200,000, sales of topicals increased 30 per cent, or $45,200, and sales of concentrates increased 18.1 per cent or $1.2 million.

Extracts sales decreased 20.7 per cent or $200,000, while sales of accessories also dropped 4.8 per cent or $43,100.

There were almost 383,000 transactions, with an average ticket price of $62.
