Municipal leaders meet in Fredericton

Municipal leaders from across the province are meeting in Fredericton this weekend.

The Union of Municipalities of New Brunswick is holding its annual conference and AGM.

It is the first annual meeting to take place since local governance reform began in January.

Topics on the agenda include local-level community safety, property taxes, and housing.

Members will also debate and approve resolutions to guide UMNB’s advocacy efforts.

UMNB says its members represent nearly 70 per cent of the New Brunswick population.
