Man arrested after business at Champlain Mall robbed

A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a robbery at a Dieppe business.

The robbery reportedly happened in the Champlain Mall on August 24.

RCMP says a suspect entered the store and left without paying for several items worth over $700 dollars.

Employees followed the individual outside the store and the suspect warned them to stay away, threatening he had a gun.

RCMP says the suspect then got in a dark grey Dodge Journey with black rims and fled the scene before police arrived.

Police requested help from the public in October and a man was arrested after a search of a Moncton home on October 20.

He has been released pending a future court date in March 2024.

No charges have been laid yet.
