UPDATE: Power outages in Greater Moncton

Just 86 NB Power customers in Greater Moncton remain without power.

Outages were reported on the NB Power website.

At the height of the outage, there were close to 5000 left in the dark.

Spokesperson Dominique Couture says the cause is mostly trees laden with snow coming into contact with lines, and there is also a report of a broken pole.

Francophone South closed École Amirault today due to the power outage.

Anglophone East says Hillcrest and Bessborough Schools will also be closed.
