N.B. premier expresses support for Israel

The premier of New Brunswick is expressing support for Israel after this weekend’s terrorist attacks.

“New Brunswick condemns the terrorist attacks against Israel,” Premier Blaine Higgs said in a social media post on Sunday.

“We mourn the loss of innocent civilian lives and our prayers are with everyone affected by this unthinkable violence.”

Israel declared war against Hamas after the Palestinian militant group launched a surprise attack on the country.

In response to Saturday’s attack, Israel launched a bombing campaign on the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds have been killed and thousands more have been injured in the past several days.
