Wind and rain for Thanksgiving weekend in N.B.

It could be a wet and windy Thanksgiving weekend.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the province.

An intense low-pressure system is expected to interact with Tropical Storm Philippe.

Environment Canada says that could bring wind gusts up to 80 kilometres an hour and upwards of 50 millimetres of rain for some regions.

In the southern areas of New Brunswick, rain is expected to begin Saturday afternoon and end early Sunday morning.
