Man, 2 youth charged after vehicle collides with school bus

Two youths and a man are facing charges after a vehicle collided with a school bus near Moncton.

Mounties say the crash happened along Route 114 in Weldon around 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Three people in the vehicle — which police say was reported stolen from Moncton — allegedly fled the scene before officers arrived.

All three were arrested nearby without incident. Police say they seized firearm parts and ammunition from the vehicle.

A 15-year-old youth has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with a release order. He was released from custody and will return to court on Oct. 4.

Another 15-year-old youth was released and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 7.

A 20-year-old man from Moncton has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime. He was also released with a court date on Nov. 7.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
