Teen arrested in connection with firearm offences

Mounties say a 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with firearm and drug offences in Moncton.

Police said they responded to reports of people breaking into vehicles in the Neville Street area around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 15.

Officers located a group of people and seized a prohibited firearm, suspected methamphetamine, money and other items.

A teen was arrested at the scene and later released. They are due to appear in court in February.
