Woman killed in northwestern N.B. crash

A woman has died after her vehicle left the road and went into a ravine in the Grand Falls area.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near West River Road shortly after 6 a.m. Friday.

A 47-year-old woman from the nearby community of Perth-Andover died at the scene from her injuries.

Mounties said she was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
