Turtle Creek area garage destroyed in fire

Occupants of a Turtle Creek area garage managed to get out safely when a fire broke out.

Riverview Fire and Rescue arrived at around 5 pm Thursday to find the building fully engulfed, with heavy smoke.

Both the garage and a trailer inside were destroyed.

Nineteen firefighters and three Chief Officers were on the scene, with nine trucks, one Ladder, two Engines, three Tankers, and three command vehicles.

Riverview Fire and Rescue received assistance from Moncton Fire, Salisbury Fire, and NB Power.

There’s no word yet on a cause.
