Two of the three main party leaders are on the campaign trail for Day 6.
Liberal Leader Susan Holt is in St. Stephen to announce plans to overhaul the compensation packages for doctors and primary care providers.
She said her party will make sure after-hours care pays more.
“We have to make sure that the rates for after-hours care reflect the fact that we want clinics that are open at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Folks would be equally compensated for delivering that type of service no matter what time of day it is,” she said.
Green Leader David Coon visited Memramcook to announce he would buy back the Memramcook Institute.
The province sold it for $1 million, according to a news release from his party.
Coon says this is part of his heritage building plan, which would preserve and celebrate the rich history in the province.
“But not just the buildings, the life force that lives in these buildings because of its history,” said Coon.
Progressive Conservative Leader Blaine Higgs didn’t make any campaign stops on Tuesday.
Election day is Oct. 21.
