Province reaches tentative agreements for nurses

New Brunswick has reached a tentative agreements with the union representing nurses, nurse managers and supervisors.

The agreement was reached Friday evening following a full week of bargaining, according to the New Brunswick Nurses Union.

Both sides have agreed with withhold details until the agreements are ratified.

The union represents 8,890 registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nurse practitioners working in hospitals, public and community health programs, Ambulance NB, extra-mural and other settings.

It also represents the bargaining unit of more 250 nurse managers and supervisors within the two provincial health authorities.
