N.B. to host Canada-U.S. business forum in 2025

Delegates from Canada and the United States will be coming to New Brunswick next June.

The Southeastern United States – Canadian Provinces Conference will take place in Saint John.

The conference aims to strengthen the long-standing trade and investment relationship between the Southeastern U.S. and Eastern Canada.

“Hosting next year’s conference is a significant milestone for our province,” Labour Minister Greg Turner said in a news release.

“This will provide us with the opportunity to showcase New Brunswick, and everything it has to offer, as we seek to advance relationships, foster multilateral trade and knowledge-share between the alliance member states and provinces.”

Members of the alliance include Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Québec.

Hosting duties for the conference alternate between Canada and the United States each year.

This year’s event in Biloxi, Miss., took place this past Sunday through Tuesday.

The New Brunswick delegation included representatives from three companies and officials from Opportunities NB.
