Human remains found in Esgenoôpetitj First Nation

RCMP are investigating after the discovery of human remains in Esgenoôpetitj First Nation.

Human remains were found along the shore of Burnt Church River on Sunday evening with the help of the public.

Neguac RCMP says they were found in an area of interest where they were searching for a missing 33-year-old man, who was last seen July 16.

The remains have not yet been positively identified, and the cause of death has not been determined.
