Riverview Mayor says public safety a top priority

Riverview’s Mayor is speaking out after a rash of recent break-ins in the community.

Mayor Andrew Leblanc posted a statement on social media this week about public safety.

He says they are working closely with the RCMP to address the issues and they also discussed increased patrols in the area.

Leblanc adds that he understands the frustrations, but reassures that public safety continues to be a top priority.

This comes after locations including the Ice Cream Barn, and Homestead Restaurant were broken into and vandalized this month.
