Boy safe thanks to help of RCMP Police Services Dog

A 4-year-old boy is home safe thanks to the quick actions of RCMP.

The boy was reported missing in the Memramcook area on May 20.

RCMP Specialized Policing Services such as RCMP Police Dog Services and the RCMP Remotely Piloted Aerial System (RPAS), were deployed. Members of the Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue team also attended.

A search began and around an hour later, the boy was located in a wooded area by Corporal Annick Theriault and her police service dog Reba.

“This was exceptional work by Cpl. Theriault and Reba, and all of the responding members and units,” said Sergeant Eric Hanson with the Sackville RCMP. “This incident is a perfect example of how vital our police dogs are in situations like this when we need to locate someone quickly to ensure their safety.”
