Fuel prices coming down again in N.B.

It looks like we will see a break at the fuel pumps heading into the Victoria Day long weekend.

An industry source tells us that both gasoline and diesel prices will fall on Thursday night.

The maximum price for gasoline is expected to drop by nearly three cents per litre.

Diesel users will see a smaller decrease, likely around one cent per litre, said the source.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.75 per litre for regular self-serve, $1.73 per litre for diesel, and $1.45 per litre for home heating oil.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.79 to $1.83 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.75 and $1.79 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.77 per litre, diesel costs around $1.81 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.27 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
