Burning restrictions loosened in N.B.

Burning restrictions have been loosened slightly in New Brunswick.

The entire province had been under a burn ban since Monday afternoon.

Burning is now allowed between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. for most areas.

The exception is northwestern New Brunswick, where there are no restrictions.

The fire danger was listed as moderate or high across much of the province as of Wednesday afternoon.
