Distinguished Gentleman’s rides in Moncton and Shediac

Motorcycle riders from around the world will come together this weekend to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

It’s called the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. According to the website, it was originally founded in Sydney, Australia by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of the TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic motorcycle and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds.

Since 2012, 500,000 classic and vintage riders have registered to take part in 121 countries around the world.

In New Brunswick, rides are planned on Sunday in Moncton and Shediac starting at 9 a.m.
