Deadline to remove studded tires is Wednesday

Are you still driving around with studded tires on your vehicle right now?

Police are reminding drivers that the deadline to remove them is May 1.

If you keep them on after that, you could be hit with a fine of $172.50.

Under the Motor Vehicle Act, studded tires are allowed in New Brunswick between Oct. 15 and May 1.

Using studded tires can damage roads when they are clear of ice.
