Local organizations benefit from ‘Smile Cookie’ campaign

Timbits sports organizations and coaches will benefit from the sale of cookies this week.

A smile cookie can brighten a day with its blue eyes and pink smile, but even more important, all of the proceeds from those cookies sold at Greater Moncton Tim Hortons go to Timbits Minor Sports Coaching Aids and Clinics.

The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-based program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports, including hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada and the United States.

Smile cookies are available today through May 5. They’re sold across Canada, with proceeds going to various organizations.

You can find a list of local charities and community groups benefiting from Tim Hortons’ annual Smile Cookie campaign here.
