A Shediac man has been arrested following an alleged armed robbery in the town.

Mounties were called to a business on Main Street just before 3 a.m. on April 17.

“The suspect told the clerk he had a gun and proceeded to take a number of lottery scratch tickets before leaving on foot,” police said in a news release.

RCMP said they arrested a 43-year-old man for robbery on Tuesday.

He was remanded into custody and is due in court on Friday.
