Man caught on video trying to access Riverview residences

Codiac RCMP is investigating after a man reportedly tried to gain access to several households in Riverview.

Staff Sergeant Jonathan White informed town councillors about the reported April 22 incidents during a Committee of the Whole meeting this week.

“An unknown male tried to force open a door in the backyards of the Hillsborough, Coverdale and Rivercrest areas. I know there’s a post that’s been distributed quite online on Facebook as well with some good photos of the individual. The complainant was able to scare the individual off when he arrived and the suspect was last seen running towards the Gunningsville Bridge.”

The man is described as tall, with an average build, in blue jeans, black socks and wearing a grey hoodie.

“Our members that patrolled the area were unable to find him. However, the matter is still under investigation.”
