Cleaning up the tri-communities for Earth Day

The Earth Day cleanup is underway in the City of Moncton.

Over 60 groups have signed up to clean up in one of the 29 zones.

Director of Environmental Planning and Management Tim Moerman says there’s still an opportunity to register on the City website, “There are worse ways to spend a Saturday or Sunday outside than with your neighbours helping to clean up the community. We are doing this in partnership with Eco360 and the Recreation department.”

It is a very popular event that helps clean up garbage around various parks and trails. This is a lead up to Earth Day on April 22.

Meantime, Riverview residents will also be beautifying the region.

Groups and individuals have been registering and picking up their trash bags and kits for Clean-up Month.

Riverview’s Clean-up month runs from April 22 to May 17.

This is also a reminder to Dieppe residents for their clean-up being held at Rotary St-Anselme Park from 10 am until 3 pm on Saturday.
