Pointe-du-Chene home extensively damaged by fire

There’s no word yet on what caused a fire in a Pointe-du-Chene home.

Shediac Fire Deputy Chief Julien Boudreau says flames could be seen coming from the residence when they arrived at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze with assistance from the Cap-Acadie department.

The two residents were not home when the fire broke out.
