Former substitute teacher, YouTuber sentenced for sex crimes

A Moncton man will spend even more time behind bars in what a judge described as actions that were quite disturbing.

Several media are reporting that 38-year-old Stephen Blackwood was sentenced on Thursday to three and a half years in prison on charges including voyeurism, sexual assault, and sexual interference.

Reports state he will only serve 18 months of that due to time already served.

Incidents occurred in Greater Moncton, Fredericton, New Brunswick and Amherst, Nova Scotia in 2022.

Blackwood was known for his YouTube channel, featuring videos of children he met at area pools and beaches.

He also previously worked as a substitute teacher in 2022.
