Summer Employment With The City of Moncton

Students are beginning to look for summer employment.

City of Moncton Spokesperson Austin Henderson says they have over one hundred openings this year, “Whether students are looking for something to spend outdoors, they can apply with our parks crew, whether that’s with our flower crew, our gardening our field maintenance crew or if they’re looking for something to help organize events. There’s always openings in our Engineering department for some things are a little more specific.”

He says there are roles for students at different levels of education, “A lot of openings for university students specifically because a lot of our summer operations start in the month of May. We do encourage everyone to apply because we have openings for both high school and post secondary students. Throughout the whole summer, there are flowers that need to be planted, lawns that need to be mowed and other things that need to get done.”

He says previously they had around 200 summer roles, but due to the pandemic that number has been reduced.

You can visit the various positions on the City of Moncton website.
