Ontario man charged with armed bank robbery in Moncton

A 73-year-old Ontario man is facing a charge of armed robbery.

RCMP says it happened at a bank on Cornhill Street in Moncton on June 12.

A man who was believed to be carrying a firearm demanded money from the teller and then fled with some cash.

On June 20th, officers searched the downtown area looking for a person of interest and located the suspect from St. Catherines later in the day.

He is being held in custody while awaiting another court appearance tomorrow.
