High counts of E. coli bacteria in Jones Lake and Centennial Park Lake

Jones Lake and Centennial Park Lake are currently closed to the public due to high counts of E.Coli bacteria.

The City of Moncton says this was found during routine testing of the water.

Kayaking, canoeing and other recreational activities are currently prohibited.

If you are a dog owner, do not let your pet swim in or drink the water.

Signs have been posted around the waterways.

The City of Moncton will continue to monitor the situation and advise of any updates as conditions change
