Riverview man arrested in fraud investigation: RCMP

A Riverview man has been arrested in an ongoing fraud investigation involving a local sport organization.

Mounties began investigating in February after a not-for-profit sport organization reported being defrauded a “significant amount” of money.

Police did not release details about the organization in question or how much money they were allegedly defrauded of.

Investigators identified a 45-year-old man from Riverview as a person of interest in the investigation.

The man was arrested on May 19 and later released on conditions. He has not yet been charged.

Police said the accused is due to appear in Moncton provincial court on Sept. 20.
