Magnetic Hill Wharf Village opens for season

There’s now more life on Magnetic Hill. The Wharf Village officially re-opened for the spring and summer seasons on Friday.

Co-Owner Jenna Cann says they’ll open to the public for the spring and summer months, “We have new food offerings, and we’ve elevated our gift shops. All of our food offerings, so our restaurant, cafe and ice cream shop, are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday every weekend during the spring, but our shops are open every day of the week. At the end of June, we will open everything every single day.”

As COVID-19 restrictions loosened last year, Cann says they saw big crowds for 2022, “Last year was certainly an improvement from the previous two years. But we are definitely looking forward to an even more improvement this year. We’ve seen some tourism statistics and it’s hopeful for this summer. I think it will be that much higher and much better in terms of tourism and traffic than the previous three years.”

Cann says this is their sixth season since they took over ownership.

“People come to us for live music, we do that three times a week, and we have our food and ice cream and gift shops. We have a lot of retail offerings with a lot of new products. People enjoy finding a treasure for themselves. Partnering with others inside the park is definitely a benefit though, and it adds to the Magnetic Hill experience altogether,” Cann adds.
