Over $2.2 million raised in annual United Way campaign

Individual and corporate donations once again raised millions of dollars in 2022 for the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick.

A total of $2,217,983.65 was announced yesterday after their annual fundraising campaign.

“It takes a village to raise a child and a community to foster hope. Every day we see the tireless efforts of community leaders, our incredible sponsors, partners, campaign champions, donors, union members and our many volunteers who go above and beyond to make a difference in our communities,” says Mischka Jacobs, Resource Development Director at United Way. “This collective impact continues to ripple out every day in the lives that are changed through our work. Inspiring things happen when we come together.”

Donations are collected during a campaign from September to December.

Twenty-six essential programs through 25 agencies benefited from funds last year.

The United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick Region was founded in 1953. It is a nonprofit, charitable organization that brings people and resources together to improve lives in the region by helping kids be all they can be and by moving people from poverty to possibility.
