Poll finds employees feeling under appreciated

It’s Employee Appreciation day, but a recent survey found almost half of Canadian professionals feel undervalued.

Recruitment Agency Robert Half surveyed nearly 540 LinkedIn users between February 20 to February 23 and asked: “Do you feel adequately appreciated at work?”

Results revealed that 48 percent feel undervalued, 27 percent said they feel recognized, and 25 percent stated they felt a bit appreciated, but not enough.

The Agency adds, with unemployment remaining low, and a continuing tight labour market, employee recognition is crucial for companies looking to boost the retention of valued talent.
