Saint John Hosts Track and Field Events This Weekend

Saint John will welcome 450 track and field athletes for a pair of championship events this weekend.

The Atlantic University Sport Track and Field Championship takes place on Friday and Saturday.

Around 300 university athletes from around the Maritimes will compete in a variety of events.

They are from the University of New Brunswick, Dalhousie University, Acadia University, l’Université de Moncton, Saint Mary’s University, St. Francis Xavier University, the University of Prince Edward Island, and Cape Breton University.

The Atlantic Club Indoor Championships will round out the weekend on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

That event will feature 150 Maritime athletes competing in different age classes, from U12 through to Master.

Both events are being hosted by the Saint John Reds Track & Field Club at the Irving Oil Field House.
