Boy Assaulted After Soccer Game In Moncton

RCMP are investigating after a boy was assaulted by multiple youths following a soccer game at the Moncton SportsDome.

The incident occurred last Sunday (January 29) after a game between clubs from Dieppe and Saint John.

The boy was taken to hospital but his injuries are not known.

In a statement, the Dieppe Soccer Club said it has a zero tolerance policy towards any form of racism and bullying.

Dieppe is temporarily pulling out of indoor soccer league play and the provincial soccer league pending results of the RCMP investigation.
