Riverview Town Councillor-at-Large Gets Christmas Wish

Santa Claus came through for a Riverview Town Councillor-at-Large.

Heath Johnson’s Christmas wish was to have the lights back on the Gunningsville Bridge.

“Christmas Eve, I saw worker Elves out there and Christmas Eve, it was lit up like a Christmas tree. All those lights have been on ever since, and I am delighted. It is a gift I have been asking for, for the past three years. I feel much safer now when crossing the bridge.”

One section of the bridge has been without lighting for quite some time due to copper theft.

Johnson joked at a Riverview Town Council meeting last month, that he had sent a letter to the North Pole asking for Santa to help restore the lights.

He added that safety on the Bridge was a big concern because it was so dark at night.
