Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Moncton Collision

RCMP say a woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Moncton over the weekend.

Staff Sgt. Thierry Malenfant said the collision happened at the intersection of Mountain Road and High Street around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Malenfant said the pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

There was no update on her condition as of Monday morning, he said.

Malenfant said the incident remains under investigation, but there does not appear to be anything criminal at this time.
