It’s a jump never seen before for diesel prices.

The Energy and Utilities Board invoked its interrupter clause again overnight, hiking the price of diesel by 68.6 cents a litre, putting the maximum cost at 307.3.

Furnace oil also skyrocketed by 67.2 cents a litre, with the maximum price climbing to 284.6.

The cost of regular self-serve fuel remained the same.
