The rollercoaster ride for diesel and home heating oil prices continues in New Brunswick.
After several increases in recent days, the price of both fuels fell overnight.
It comes after the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) invoked its interrupter clause for the fifth time in seven days.
The maximum price for diesel fell by 7.8 cents to $2.38 per litre. Heating oil is now selling for a maximum of $2.13, a drop of 8.1 cents.
Before Tuesday night’s decrease, diesel had climbed by more than 45 cents per litre since Sept. 29, while furnace oil had jumped by almost 44 cents during the same period.
Gasoline and propane prices did not change on Tuesday night. The EUB will reset the price for all fuels on Wednesday night.
The current maximum price for regular self-serve is $1.67 per litre, while the most you are paying for propane is $1.18 per litre.
