Owner Of Overturned Boat Found Dead

Search teams have located the body of a man whose boat was found overturned in the Saint John River last week.

Chris Pittner was last seen loading his wooden sailboat at the Wickham Wharf on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

Mounties said the boat was found unoccupied near the community of Queenstown later that same day.

Ground Search and Rescue members located the 54-year-old man’s body on Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators do not believe foul play was a factor in Pittner’s death.
