Woman Killed In Fredericton-Area Crash

Mounties say a 22-year-old woman has died after a car and a pickup truck collided near Fredericton.

RCMP say emergency crews were called to the scene on Route 616 in Keswick Ridge just after 3 p.m. Friday.

Investigators believe the car crossed the centre line and hit a pickup truck travelling in the opposite direction.

The woman driving the car, who was from Central Hainesville, died at the scene from her injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP say they are still piecing together the cause of the crash.
