Unexpected Increase In Heating Oil Prices

New Brunswickers will be paying more for heating oil once again on Friday.

The Energy and Utilities Board invoked its interrupter clause on Thursday night.

The price went up by nearly six cents to a new maximum of $1.80 per litre.

It comes after a more than eight-cent increase on Wednesday night during the regular weekly setting.

Gas and diesel prices remain unchanged. Maximum prices are $1.80 for regular self-serve and $1.96 for diesel.
