Six Displaced In Melville Street Fire

Fire caused significant damage to a home on Melville Street in Moncton which was reported around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Red Cross says six people lived in the home which had three apartments. No one was hurt.

The fire was mostly contained to an upper-level unit with smoke and water damage elsewhere.

The Red Cross was helping the six individuals with emergency lodging and other essentials.

No word on what caused the fire.
