Staffing shortages continue to have an impact on service at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Horizon Health says the emergency department will be closed on Thursday, August 11 and will reopen on Friday at 8 a.m.
Anyone who needs urgent medical care will have to seek treatment at another hospital.
For non-urgent care, Horizon suggests visiting sowhywait.ca and virtual health care appointments are available through evisit.nb.ca.
The Sackville ER is normally open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Overnight ER service at the hospital was discontinued last fall.
