Construction Flagger Struck By Vehicle

A construction flagger suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Frederiction.

Police say it happened in a construction zone on Beaverbrook Street just before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Sonya Gilks, a spokesperson for the Fredericton Police Force, could not confirm whether the driver remained at the scene.

Gilks said several charges are expected to be laid under the province’s Motor Vehicle Act.

Police are reminding people to slow down and use caution in construction zones.
